Is the maximum speed for which the tire has been approved and is expressed with a letter (es. H=210 km/h).
The speed index must be equal or higher if summer tires are fitted (es. H or higher). From 15 October to 15 May it is allowed by the highway code to also equip winter tyres with a lower index which must not be lower than the letter Q (160 km/h).
The Type of the car is a code that the producer assigns to each vehicle in order to distinguish it from similar models.
